In the first seminar of the Cycle “Practicing Science in Naples”, Rosa Casapullo will discuss the evolution of surveying and data recording practices of Vesuvius activity from mid-seventeenth to late Nineteenth Century, highlighting, by means a comparative stylistic analysis, the major shifts towards the standardized form of scientific writing which will become established in the second half of the Nineteenth century.
